Students have two assignments due in Science by Wednesday.
1. Structures and Shapes Handout
This is shown in black in my photo. Students had to name 10 different structures they might see in their community and tell me what shape(s) that structure looks like and whether it is a Natural made structure (like a bird's nest) or if it is built by people (like a school), We did the first one together.
2. Homes Now/Then Paragraph
Students were given class time to work on this, so whatever they are bringing home is what was not finished during class. We have also talked about this 3 times, and I had written notes on the board to help them. (See picture below). Their job was to write a paragraph (at least 5 sentences) explaining how homes now are built differently than in the past. I wanted them to include the 3 examples we talked about from the past, which were a tipi, a pioneer's home and a castle. This assignment was done on a piece of loose leaf paper.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email or have students ask on Tuesday!
